HADES Members To Perform Covers As SCREAMING METAL; Second Show Announced

November 13, 2009

HADES members Alan Tecchio, Dan Lorenzo, and T. Coombs will team up with the "Talking Metal" duo, John Ostronomy and Mark Strigl, to perform once again as SCREAMING METAL, a metal cover band. SCREAMING METAL will be jamming songs by JUDAS PRIEST, KISS, METALLICA, BLACK SABBATH, AC/DC and others at their second-ever show (their only for 2010) on Saturday, March 6 at Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey.

Video footage of the band performing at Dingbatz on February 7, 2009 can be viewed below. Special guests that night included Rob Dukes from EXODUS and "Metal" Mike Chlasciak of HALFORD joining SCREAMING METAL on stage to play the METALLICA classic "Seek and Destroy".

"Previous to the first SCREAMING METAL show, I hadn't played covers in a bar since 1982 when HADES were primarily a cover band," said Dan Lorenzo. "We had so much fun that night we promised to do it again — we just had to find the right time. I suggested we get Tom Coombs on drums this time (in place of OVERKILL drummer Ron Lipnicki) because Ron will be touring then. Plus we needed to indoctrinate T. Coombs back into metal."
